CCM Axis Pro Senior Non-Certified Cat Eye Goalie Mask

Brand new for 2020, CCM has unleashed the next iteration to the CCM goalie mask line. The CCM Axis Pro Senior Non-Certified Cat Eye Goalie Mask is an NHL inspired shell and is packed with new features and materials aimed to improve comfort and more importantly, protection.

Starting off with the Shell of the CCM Axis, a Pro Carbon Fiber shell with Sigmatex is an incredibly lightweight choice for this helmet which is designed to improve the strength and resistance of this shell.

Internally, you will see several materials which are strategically placed to provide the highest level of protection available. First is the D3O Smart Material seen throughout almost every other piece of CCM gear and is designed to dissipate impact energy in key areas. Next is the Pod Matrix with internally fluids placed in areas to help manage all types of impact. Finally, on the internally padding is I.Q.Shion Gel which is a memory foam comfort liner with smooth contour edges to make this helmet comfortable for the goaltender.

Wrapping up the internals, a Mesh Construction Sweatband is comfortable on the goaltender’s head and additionally, a Terry Cloth Fabric Sweatband is available and included. Down further, a Triple Density Foam Chin Cup with D3O helps with impact absorption and comfort.

Finally, the cage is made of Stainless Steel with Bumper Paint Protection which allows for high impact protection with a rubber bumper to limit contact between the cage and the masks paint upon impact.

Compared to the CCM A1.9 Goalie Mask, the CCM Axis Pro Senior features higher levels of protection and materials both internally and externally.
